Alan Crist: Vocals, Guitar, Slide
Matt Nicholls: Vocals, Guitar, Harmonica

Alan Crist and Matt Nicholls were raised in Chesterfield, Virginia and met each other during middle school. During one of their classes Matt began playing air guitar which in turn made these childhood friends pick up a real guitar and begin their musical journey. During their late teens they formed a band in college and took their show on the road. Their musical talents beginning in country have crossed many different genres including, but not limited to, blues, funk and rock-in-roll.
Gaining momentum with their sound and dynamic harmonies, Mozely Rose has established an amazing fan base and has received rave reviews from various publications such as GoodNewMusic.com and HonestTune.com. They have been featured in Digital Muze Magazine and have made an impact in the foreign market with unit sales in the thousands to fans from Germany, Italy, Belgium, Canada and showing bigger numbers in France. They have been featured in the French magazine, Bands of Dixie, and were nominated for best southern rock band for the year 2007.
Closer to home in Richmond, VA, Mozely Rose was crowned as Southside Speedway’s (home to Denny Hamlin) entertainment for the 2007 season. During the 2007 and 2008 season fans got a glimpse of Mozely Rose as cars are flying past on the track as they are featured on race car #89 driven by Rob Jenkins owned by Lei Motor Sports.
Mozely Rose is no stranger to touring nationally as they play approximately 150-200 dates per year, entertaining their dedicated fans and gaining new ones at each show. The album they have been promoting in most recent tours is called The New Brew. They have shared the stage with many country and rock icons such as Emerson Drive, Pat Green, David Lee Murphy, Leon Russell, Rick Derringer, Edgar Winter and Molly Hatchet.
Their album was completed in March of 2007 and caught the ear of mainstream radio as well as small and medium markets. That led to Nashville introductions where Mozely Rose performed at George Jones’ ranch during GJU and also again during CMA Music Festival. Mozely Rose has been invited back as special guests to George and Nancy’s ranch to kickoff the September session of GJU.
Continuing to perfect their songwriting abilities, Mozely Rose is currently writing and working on material for their third album and are relocating to Nashville, TN to develop and cultivate their musical relationships on the music scene.
